Since the beginning of the 20th century, more than twelve pink granite quarries have been built in Canada, but only one is still active today! And guess what? It's the one you see here. This stone is mainly used to build monuments and small buildings, and to pave streets. It was used for Sainte-Agathe's church, built in 1952, for the sacristy of Mont-Laurier's cathedral two years earlier, and for the hotel in the municipality of Lac-des-Écorces. They're simply resplendent!
