The "P'tit train du Nord" is important to the Laurentians. It reached its peak between 1920 and 1940, at a time when train stations were the hubs of the municipalities they served, and when stationmasters were rather important figures. After all, all transactions went through them, and everyone received their parcels and supplies under their watch. Over time, as the road network developed, trains became less popular, and stations closed down one after another. In 1997, Nominingue's station was reborn. Though everything transited between its walls in the good old days of the "P'tit train du Nord", nowadays, the station provides travellers with plenty of tourist information. Not bad for a change of tracks!
